Today was yet another complicated weather day for skiing here in the East.

Those final two hours at Smuggler’s Notch today are something I’ll be reminiscing on this off season. I loved every second of it.

Smuggler’s Notch has a lot of terrain that’s left natural only, and I usually try to stick to that as much as possible, as I find the conditions to usually be better.

I haven’t skied Madonna Mountain in nearly two years, and I’ve been itching to get back up there. It was a great day!

Anytime there are widespread wind holds, the choice on where to ski is a gamble. Today, I was lucky. Maybe I should play the lottery.

Smuggler’s Notch’s lifts are old and slow, which means the ride up the mountain was a long and cold one.
