SKIING OFF THE BEGINNER LIFT AT WHITEFACE AMID WIND HOLDS
Today was day 42 of my ski season. It was the first day of the season where winds significantly impacted my ski day.
POWDER AFTERNOON AT SMUGGLER’S NOTCH
Anytime there are widespread wind holds, the choice on where to ski is a gamble. Today, I was lucky. Maybe I should play the lottery.
A SUNNY DAY OF SKIING at WHITEFACE
There have been ample low visibility days this ski season. Sunny days have been few and far between. Today, I got one at Whiteface and it was glorious.
PICO SUCKS, TELL YOUR FRIENDS
This place sucks. Don’t go there and tell your friends not to go there, either. Killington is a much better place to spend your ski days!
SKIING THE WILMINGTON TRAIL AT WHITEFACE
The Wilmington Trail is a great run. It’s long, has nice views and is bordering on being a black diamond, though it’s rated a blue.
A WINDY DAY SKI DAY AT WHITEFACE
No doubt it was a windy day, but the gondola and the Summit Quad were spinning when I got there in the afternoon and that was enough to keep me entertained.

THE FIRST (SKI) DAY OF 2025
There’s an old saying, that I just made up, that skiing on New Year’s Day gets you one year of good luck. Whether or not that’s true, I don’t know, but I didn’t want to risk not skiing today.
LAPPING THE T-BAR AT MOUNT PISGAH
To wrap up 2024, I decided to spend the afternoon skiing at Mount Pisgah in Saranac Lake, New York.
SKIING CLINTON COUNTY, NEW YORK’S, GREATEST VERTICAL SKI AREA
Today’s mission was simple: Ski and beat the rain.
A MILD DAY IN THE GLADES AT JAY PEAK

What Beartown lacks in size and height, it makes up for in charm.
SKIING POWDER AT JAY PEAK ON CHRISTMAS EVE
Today was an incredible day at Jay Peak. It’s safe to say it was the best day of my 29 days so far this season.
SKIING SUGARBUSH AND RIDING THE NEW HEAVEN’S GATE QUAD
I skied at Sugarbush one week ago and it was just okay. The good news is, in just one week, the mountain has done a full 180.
A COLD DAY AT SMUGGLER’S NOTCH
Smuggler’s Notch’s lifts are old and slow, which means the ride up the mountain was a long and cold one.
SKIING ICE AND POWDER AT WHITEFACE
It was an interesting afternoon of skiing at Whiteface. The snow surface was variable from top to bottom.
