It was the kind of powder you just float through all the way back to the lift.

There’s an old saying, that I just made up, that skiing on New Year’s Day gets you one year of good luck. Whether or not that’s true, I don’t know, but I didn’t want to risk not skiing today.

To wrap up 2024, I decided to spend the afternoon skiing at Mount Pisgah in Saranac Lake, New York.
