Despite last week’s big melt, coverage is still great in all of the woods, and on the trails, too!

Over the last couple of days, we’ve started to dip our toes in to spring-like weather here in the East, which begs the question: does Jay Peak still have the snow?!

Though I was there for a short time, I checked out a number of glades and they all skied fantastic!

I’ve not ridden all the lifts that get thrown into the lineup for coldest chairlift in the East, but I’ve ridden a number of them, and I’d say the Flyer Quad at Jay Peak is the coldest of the lot.

It was a fun day in the woods at Jay, albeit a little cold.

Temperatures at the base were in the single digits.

The trees at Jay Peak were awesome today!

It wasn’t a powder day or anything, but conditions were good enough to have a great day, despite the recent rain.

I’m going to be talking about today for years to come.

It was a fun closing day at Jay Peak with a great atmosphere to cap off a legendary ski season in the east.

It was mild and I found myself thinking I probably could’ve just worn shorts instead of ski pants!

May is here and that means the ski season is quickly winding down in the East, but there’s still some skiing to go!

Though it may be April 27, the snow came down heavy today at the East’s snowiest ski area.

Being able to ski trees in late April is awesome!

Many ski resorts have called it quits for the season and those who are still open are starting to see their trail counts dwindle, but not the East’s snowiest ski resort.

Jay Peak’s trees are loaded with snow!

Thanks to the mild temperatures, the snow was very soft.

Today was an incredible day at Jay Peak. It’s safe to say it was the best day of my 29 days so far this season.

It was a cold day on the mountain.
